The Power of Love

None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us.
“I’m absolutely convinced that nothing –
nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow,
high or low, thinkable or unthinkable
-absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love
because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

Romans 8:37-39

Albert Einstein is perhaps the most famous scientist in history.  While working at a patent office, Einstein did some of the most creative, revolutionary work which changed our understanding of the universe (eg: E=mc2). Yet, in spite of his monumental theories that continue to baffle the scientific community, Einstein wrote the following to his daughter, Lieserl.

”When I proposed the theory of relativity, very few understood me, and what I will reveal now to transmit to mankind will also collide with the misunderstanding in the world. There is an extremely powerful force that, so far, science has not found a formal explanation to. It is a force that includes and governs all others, and is even behind any phenomenon operating in the universe and has not yet been identified by us. This universal force is LOVE.
When scientists looked for a unified theory of the universe they forgot this most powerful, unseen force.

The apostle John, the one of whom it was said: Jesus loved him (John 21:20) wrote: “God is Love!(1 John 4:16)

“The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves. You don’t love a woman because she is beautiful, but she is beautiful because you love her. Never underestimate the power of love.”
